Shannon Lloyd
Interim Executive Director

Born in a small-town southeast of Edmonton, Shannon is a true-blue Alberta girl! She has lived in many other places, but her heart and soul belong in Alberta. She can never seem to stay away from this glorious sunny province for long. Her early career started out in disability services, where she garnered many skills and trainings. From there she got her toes wet working in the Oilsands with a service company. It was at this point Shannon decided it was time to go back to school.

After college, she began working for the local Municipal Government. In this position she ascertained many Emergency Management trainings and Emergency Social Services trainings. Like many others in the community, Shannon and her family made the choice to relocate to Fort McMurray because of work. It was here that she returned to work in the oilsands as a project coordinator / interim project manager. It did not take her long to realize that she missed working with and helping people. This realization led her to the MCA, where she could not be happier within the organization!
