Canada Day
Canada’s National Holiday is celebrated each year on July 1st in acknowledgement of the anniversary of Canadian Confederation, which was establish on July 1, 1867.
In 2025, Canada celebrated 158 years of confederacy.
For this year’s celebrations, the Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo celebrated Canada day with a free community Pancake and Bannock Breakfast that took place at Kiyām Community Park, alongside cultural performances including a multi-lingual performance of ‘O Canada’ in Cree, English and French.
Afterwards, the MCA, along with members of the multicultural community, joined in the morning Canada Day Parade!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Celebrations!
