Muna Ali
Muna originally came into the role of Executive Director after working on the MCA’s volunteer Board of Directors since 2017. During that time, she has been able help promote a community where equality, diversity and inclusion thrives.
Ever since a young age, Muna has always had a passion for helping others. This passion led her to pursue a degree in social work. Her goal is to create a welcoming community for all who decide to make Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo their home. She is the proud mother to two beautiful daughters and wife to a wonderful and loving husband.

Rasha Hassan
Rasha is the MCA Events and Communications Manager. She oversees the planning of multicultural events, which she finds is a great opportunity for our diverse community to represent their origin cultures and showcase these cultures to everyone in the RMWB. Rasha is passionate about people and committed to helping them. She is a connector who loves to bring people together.
In and out of her professional life, Rasha is always finding herself in the middle of planning fun and memorable events for the people around her – which is why event planning is right up her alley. She has experience working with multicultural groups in a few different countries. Rasha always believes that working in an environment with people of different backgrounds, races and nationalities can be a rewarding and fulfilling professional experience. it always inspires innovation and productivity.

Ashley Makey
Alberta born and raised, Ashley Makey joined the MCA in 2019 – one year after recieving her Bachelor of Communications from Grant MacEwan University. Originally from Fort McMurray herself, Ashley has seen the positive impact that multiculturalism has made on the community that she has called home for many years.
While she was raised in Fort McMurray, Ashley had returned to the community in 2018 after moving to central Alberta with her family in 2008. Since returning, she has been amazed to see the incredible changes that took place in the RMWB over only 10 years.
Ashley’s passion is the creative arts and working with people. She recently introduced her beautiful daughter to the world in 2024, whom she enjoys spending time with alongside her wonderful husband. When she is not working, you can typically find Ashley catching up on a new book, playing video games, working on a new craft, or snuggling up with her cat, Bilbo.

Amber is a born and raised Fort McMurray local, and her family background comes from Newfoundland. Working with her own and surrounding communities, fostering communication with the goal of connection, and the privilege of being exposed to so many cultures in Fort McMurray brings her a joy that is hard to put into words.

Precious Emelogu
Meet Precious, a dynamic and ambitious business diploma graduate born in Nigeria and raised in Fort McMurray. She is currently on her journey to obtaining a major in Business Management and a minor in Human Resources. Precious is the Language Services Coordinator, committed to facilitating seamless communication, fostering an inclusive environment, bridging language barriers, and facilitating cross-cultural understanding in Fort McMurray.
Precious enjoys exploring new cuisines, gardening, writing, singing, and digital and creative arts outside of her professional endeavours. With her proactive mindset and passion for making a positive impact, Precious is poised to excel in her role and contribute significantly to helping newcomers into the Wood Buffalo Region.

Aileen Adorable
Aileen is a passionate and determined person. She is originally from the Philippines and moved to Canada in 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Accounting in the Philippines. When she arrived in Fort McMurray, she worked extremely hard to obtain her Permanent Residency and become a Canadian Citizen. After 10 years of being a full-time mother, Aileen decided to return to school and pursue a degree. She began working for the MCA in 2023 as a Project Coordinator, two weeks after completing her Business Digital Marketing Management degree. Now that she has returned to work, she feels happy to see people from various backgrounds working together to welcome and showcase their diverse culture and traditions.
When she is not working, Aileen enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, playing badminton, gardening, and listening to positive audio. Her goal is to promote inclusion and diversity while also treating people with respect.
