Maryam Saleem

Meet the 2023 recipient of the Sana Elache Student Empowerment Award!

Maryam is an active volunteer in the community, with her involvement with Girls Inc of Northern Alberta: where she works with young girls to provide a safe space for learning and play; MACOY: where she was part of the Social Equity committee to help bridge social disparities; and the Nutrition Youth Panel of Alberta: where she helped provide information regarding nutrition and health to youth across the province.

Maryam will be beginning her post-secondary this year, hoping to work in the mental health industry in the future.
